You Can Now Pay with USDC at Checkout

We've been fans of crypto since the early days. When we first launched, we partnered with BitPay so our customers could pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other coins. It mattered to us because we believe in the same things crypto stands for. 

Now it just got a whole lot easier.

Shopify Now Accepts USDC Natively

Shopify has officially integrated USDC (USD Coin) directly into Shopify Payments. That means you can now pay with USDC right at checkout, no third-party apps, no redirects, no extra accounts. Just select USDC as your payment method, pay from your wallet, and you're done.

How It Works

  • Add items to your cart and head to checkout
  • Select USDC as your payment method
  • Pay from your crypto wallet (Coinbase, MetaMask, Phantom, etc.)
  • Transaction confirms on-chain and your order is placed

Supported Networks

Shopify accepts USDC across multiple networks, so you can pay from whichever chain you prefer:

  • Base
  • Ethereum
  • Polygon
  • Arbitrum
  • Optimism

Funds bridge automatically on the backend so you don't need to think about which network to use.

Why This Matters

Crypto payments used to require workarounds. Now they're built into the same checkout you already use for credit cards and Shop Pay. It's a big step toward making digital payments as normal as swiping a card — and we're here for it.
